Spanish Shawl Multicolor with fringes (100% polyester)
Size: 175cm x 115cm x 115cm
1. Color and material
Dominant color: The background of the shawl is a superb turquoise or seafoam green. It is a fresh and luminous shade that particularly highlights the embroidery.
Texture: The fabric appears to be silk, characterized by its smooth appearance, fluid drape and slight satin sheen that catches the light.
2. The embroidery (Bordados)
The embroidery work is the central element of this piece:
Patterns: These are traditional floral patterns, arranged symmetrically in a "V" shape descending along the back.
Color palette: The flowers offer a vibrant contrast against the turquoise background. We can distinguish:
Bright red (probably stylized carnations or roses).
Purple and lavender.
Touches of white and yellow for the details.
Green stems and leaves that bind everything together.
3. Fringes (Flecos)
This is the signature of the Spanish shawl.
Macrame (Enrejado): Right at the edge of the fabric, before the threads hang down, there is an intricate macrame knotting technique. It's a hand-knotted geometric lacework that structures the shawl.
The threads: The fringes are very long, tone on tone (the same turquoise color as the fabric), which lengthens the silhouette and adds movement and drama, especially during the dance.
